Whilst in the amazing city that is Paris last May I made it my mission to visit the Yves Saint Laurent Exhibition after seeing it on a Youtuber's vlog. I really enjoy fashion exhibitions as it's a chance to get up close and personal, yet is a really relaxed feel as you can just mooch around and do everything in your own time. The whole thing was in the original haute couture house, and felt extremely personal and warm. It starts by you being shown a video in one of the front rooms, surrounded by lavish interior. You then make your way through the house, each room having a different collection. A part I found really interesting about the whole exhibition was when upstairs there was another viewing room where you learnt about his relationships and ties with Marrakech, the video was really emotive and even had me welling up ( as well as wanting to book a flight straight to Marrakech ). However, my favourite part of the whole exhibition was when you were able to enter the room he worked himself, bursting with light from the massive windows and muted walls. It was filled with designs and books and work stations. Walking around it really helped you to imagine how he would have felt working in there, it was beautiful.
