Vogue Archives Brief

For our concepts brief we were given a photo shoot out of the Vogue archives titled ‘Trans-Siberian Express’ by German photographer and film maker Norbert Schoerner. We initially had to brainstorm words that came to mind when we looked at the images and then come up with 5 main words that would help others visualise the creative concept. Our words were: WANDERLUST, FREE SPIRIT (FEMALE INDEPENDENCE), ALLURING, ENIGMATIC, NOSTALGIC (CINEMATOGRAPHY). To someone who hadn’t seen these images before we would describe them as ‘A nostalgic series of insights along a journey of self discovery through the Far East, exploring sexuality and female empowerment’. These words are going to inspire the second stage of the concepts brief when we create our own photo shoot.
