Devan Shimoyama' Work

Until seeing this post on Dazed I didn’t even know Warhol did work surrounding black drag queens.@devanshimoyama is bringing this work to light using his talents as a painter to tell the story of queer, black, males. A massive trend in recent years is the use of pattern, nature and animals mixed with imagery and fashion. I get this vibe off his work and think the message behind it is intriguing and something I need to educate myself on more.
